Embryologist update

Around 8:00 today we got the call from the embryologist and looks like we have 8 that are perfect - they have 6 to 8 cells.  Thank you again Jesus!!!  We have a few that are on the fench to far in the game to say if we will save them or not, could be they are just moving a little slow.  There are 3 that are not looking so hot at all.  We are still very pleased with the outcome.  My Transfer will be Wed.  Thanks for all the comments, text, voicemails etc... You guys have been awesome.  Please just pray that we have a postive blood test this cycle!

Results from the Embryologist

I was a little worried today.  My phone didn't ring until @ 10:45 with the results.  Out of  38 eggs 22 matured and 17 fertilized.  I was so excited to hear the great new.  Thank you Jesus - what a blessing!!!! Our Embryologist was so cute on the phone she said we had our own little football team...  As of now we are set up for Monday @ 11:15 but they will take them out again Monday and tell us if we are doing a day 3 or day 5 transfer.  Last time we did day 5.  She said tmr ( day 2 ) they will start to divide and then day 3 blast.  We will know a lot more on Monday.  I am so excited this cycle!  I have such a great feeling about this....  Thanks for all the support guys!  I will update again Monday.

Egg Retrieval Day, 2-25-11

Today was filled with a lot of mixed feelings.  I can't get over the fact that we are here again.  I guess it kinda hit me this week.  We got off to such a SLOW start while I was stimulating, then to I was ready for retrieval.  I went in to day @ 9:00, we started about 9:30.  I did get a chance to talk with my doctor before hand which made me a little more relaxed.  After I came out of the anesthesia I had right much nausea and a little pain. After I got settled and a little more aware they told me they retrieved 38 eggs today.  All I could say was thank you Jesus!!!!  I was a little scared about how many I would have since we had such a slow start.  Now I just pray that at least half of them are of the correct size. Last cycle we got 28 and 17 were of the correct size.  I can't wait to hear from the embryologist tmr and see how everything went.  I am sure it will be another night of no sleep.  But for good reason!!!  Mike was such a sport today.  He really stepped up and was so good.  He seems more excited this cycle.  I know he will be such a great father for sure.  He also let me play princess today.  That was FUN!!  He really thinks this is our time - so sweet to hear him talk  like that...  Well guys I will update again tmr after I hear from the lovely ladies that are watching our little babies...

February 23, 2011

Things really picked up!  Yay, so excited.  We have 5 that are of the right size and some time for the others to catch up in size.  Estrogen  level today was 1343.8, my uterus lining was 8.7 ( anything over 4 can support a baby).  I had my last injections tonight, 2 Ovidrels.  Mike and I will go in Friday 2-25 for my egg retrieval.  We are so excited and are praying for this to work.  We will be transfering 3 this time.  I am a little scared to see what will happen this round.

Thanks for all the comments.

February 19 Check up

Estrogen level was @ the 300's. Some activity is coming along.  Looks like only one follicle is @ the right size.  Changing it up again with the meds.  Moving to 225 units of Follstim mixed with 1 Menopur right when I wake up, then the same thing at night with adding the Ganirelix.  Instead of 1 shot a day we have moved to 3 a day....  Going to see how this mix works and go back Monday for another ultrasound.  The purpose of the Ganirelix is to stop things from moving forward to give the other follicles time to catch up in size.

February 16,2011

Estrogen level was 121, lining still thin -  not responding well  with 375 units of Follistim, so we have knocked it up to 450 units and still mix with one Menopur.  Going to see how things go for 3 days....

About ME!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! My name is Lindsey. My husband Mike and I have been trying to have a baby for four years.Over the years my menstraul cycles have been normal on birth control. When I discontinued birth control I found out I have PCOS. After continually trying to conceive my husband and I decided to get checked. Resulting in me having uterus surgery in October 2009. After the surgery I was suppose to be able to carry a baby to term. The following months we would contunually get negative pregnancy tests. Our next step was TIC with injectables. Again negative pregnancy tests. Since this didn't work our doctor suggested artificial insemination (IUI).Mike and I were on board and thought this was going to be the answer to our prayers. We received another negative test. While maintaiing a positive attitude we went back to the doctor and  decided it was time for a fresh IVF cycle. This occured in February 2010. I was able to get 28 embryo's. 17 of them were of fertilization size. 8 fertilized. Transfer day was March 16, 2010.On this day two of the best embryos were transfered. 2 weeks later we received a negative pregnancy test. A month later we transfered 2 of our reserved embryos and again resulted in a negative pregnany test.Mike and I decided at this point to take some time off. January 2011 we revisted our options and have decided to start the full blown out IVF process.I enjoyed my last IVF process and I am even more excited about this process.Aside from my wedding day it was the happiest day of my life. Mike and I have been married seven years and we are ready to start the next phase of our life together. We feel fortunate that we have this opportunity to do the IVF process again. I hope that you will follow and support our DREAM WEAVER!!
